Executive Assistant to the President & Development Support

Position Overview
The Negev Foundation is seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and proactive Executive Assistant to the President & Development Support to provide comprehensive administrative and programmatic support in a mission-driven nonprofit environment. This role blends high-level executive assistance with meaningful involvement in resource development, communications, and program coordination. The position works closely with the Foundation President and collaborates with affiliated initiatives, including the Ohio-Israel Ag & Cleantech Initiative, to advance the Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities. The Executive Assistant plays an integral role in supporting the Foundation’s day-to-day operations and impact. Responsibilities include managing executive schedules, travel, and correspondence; supporting donor engagement and development activities; coordinating communications with partner organizations and granting foundations; and assisting with cross-program coordination. The ideal candidate is a trusted team member who values nonprofit work, exercises sound judgment, maintains confidentiality, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve.
 
This role is well-suited for a candidate interested in building toward expanded leadership or executive-level responsibilities within the Negev Foundation as the organization grows.
 
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Administrative Support
  • Provide direct executive support to the Foundation President, including calendar management, scheduling, travel arrangements, and email correspondence.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and briefing materials, track follow-ups, and ensure deadlines and commitments are met.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal staff, board members, donors, and external partners on behalf of executive leadership.
  • Maintain organized records, files, and administrative systems to support efficient operations.
Development & Resource Support
  • Assist with resource development activities, including donor communications, foundation outreach, and resource development initiatives.
  • Support communications with granting foundations, including correspondence, scheduling, tracking submissions, and maintaining records.
  • Help prepare resource development materials, donor updates, reports, and acknowledgments in coordination with leadership.
  • Assist with special programming and events related to fundraising, donor engagement, and organizational visibility.
 
Communications & Marketing Coordinator Support
Assist the Communications and Marketing Coordinator with the development of written content, including executive correspondence, donor communications, program updates, and marketing materials. Coordinate with Negev communities, partners, and staff to gather impact stories and ensure a consistent voice and messaging.
 
General Support
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Support continuous improvement of administrative and communication processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational priorities.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience), with 3–5 years of experience providing executive, administrative, or development support to senior leadership in a nonprofit, foundation, or mission-driven organization, including exposure to fund or resource development efforts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to draft and edit executive correspondence, donor communications, articles, and organizational materials, as well as strong interpersonal skills when working with donors, board members, partners, and staff.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and technical skills, including the ability to manage complex schedules, travel, and competing priorities; work independently with sound judgment; handle confidential information with discretion; and use Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and related tools (CRM or donor database experience preferred).
Salary & Benefits
$60,000 - $70,000 starting salary and benefits:

Program Director
Ohio Israel Ag and CleanTech Initiative

Position Type: Full-time, on-site (Ohio-based role). This position requires current Ohio residency. Candidates residing outside of Ohio will not be considered. Remote work may be authorized for Ohio residents living outside the Greater Cleveland area, with required attendance at occasional on-site meetings and special events.

About the OIACI
The Ohio-Israel Agriculture & CleanTech Initiative (OIACI) is a program of the Negev Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Cleveland, Ohio. The OIACI was launched in 2002 to enhance trade, research & development relationships between Israel and Ohio in the agriculture, processed food, and water sectors. The Initiative facilitates pilot projects, promotes trade activity, attracts business investment, and strengthens partnerships between Ohio and Israeli companies in the agriculture, food, and water sectors. About the Program Director
The Program Director serves in a leadership role on this results-driven team. As the face of the program, a successful Program Director should be comfortable communicating with professionals, practitioners, and stakeholders in the agriculture, food, and water sectors. This role involves local travel as required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities. The Program Director will report directly to the President of the Negev Foundation and will be expected to present and discuss detailed status reports on program activities.

Responsibilities

  • Promote collaboration in the agriculture, food, and water sectors between Israel and Ohio through communications with businesses, participation in professional events (conferences, showcases, etc.), and facilitation of projects such as pilots, demos, and R&D collaboration.
  • Promote trade opportunities through the facilitation of relationships between Ohio and Israeli businesses and other entities in the agriculture, food, and water sectors.
  • Identify opportunities for business attraction and collaborative R&D in agriculture, food, and water in Israel and Ohio and present those opportunities to the appropriate parties.
  • Maintain and grow the OIACI’s database of agriculture, food, and water companies in Israel and Ohio.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with Ohio and Israeli agriculture, food, and/or water companies and State and local government bodies in both regions.
  • Communicate regularly with the Advisory Committee and Chairperson to brainstorm and identify regional needs and emerging needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with state elected officials.
  • Create a program action plan outlining goals, objectives, and action items.
  • Write and submit progress reports to the Negev Foundation president and present a verbal program status update to the Negev Foundation president weekly.
  • Represent the OIACI in meetings, public events, workshops, and media events related to their projects.
  • Prepare and give presentations on OIACI, OIACI programs, and Israeli and Ohio agriculture, food, and water concerns and solutions.
  • Identify grant opportunities and work with the OIACI team to prepare and submit funding requests.
  • Facilitate bilateral partnerships by attracting Israeli agriculture, water, and food companies to establish operations in Ohio while supporting Ohio-based companies’ investment and market entry in Israel.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging agriculture, cleantech, and climate-smart technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Communications, or other relevant fields for the position’s role.
  • Must have 4+ years of experience managing a department, program, or work team.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Google Workspace; strong general computer and software literacy, including database management, cloud-based systems, and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Proficiency in multitasking and collaborating effectively within a small team.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining strong partnerships with external and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written fluency in English; proficiency in Hebrew is an asset but not required.
