Empowering students to enhance the Negev’s future

Rifman High School

Campus
  • Opened in September 2019, the Rifman High School was named for Ramat HaNegev Mayor Shmulik Rifman and was built to address the region’s rapidly growing community.
  • The High School offers a wide variety of programs to facilitate the diverse student population. To promote study and achievement, the school puts special emphasis on 4 major values: Choice, Responsibility, Partnership, and Trust.
  • In the coming years, the high school will position itself as the heart and center of Ramat HaNegev communities. To promote and empower students, a personal educational guide is assigned to each student, emphasizing a regular personal contact between the two.
  • In this coming school year, the school will have 73 9th graders, 55 10th graders, and 38 11th graders. The school continues to grow; in September of 2021 will have students in grades 9 through 12, along with relevant curricula.
  • The school uses cutting-edge technology to enhance education via the technology hub, which also offers a manufacturing workshop, a technological workshop, and development and meeting rooms.
  • Collaboration between local entrepreneurs and students provides students with access to many fields of expertise and inspires entrepreneurship. The school also offers the Greenhouse: a hands-on, experiential learning environment hosting workshops, a robotics room, a creative arts area, and science labs.
  • The high school has several university preparation programs:
        • Academy, a program in which students can start taking courses toward a BA degree.
        • The high school allows and encourages its students to take some relevant university courses for their matriculation assignments.
        • 9th-grade students participate in a special study program with students at the Blaustein Institute of Desert Research in the southern campus of the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, located at Midreshet Ben Gurion, Ramat HaNegev.
  • The high school needs assistance with the following items:
        • Hydroponic Greenhouse to be used for Agriculture and Science courses
        • Art Emotional Therapy studio
