In order
to fulfill The Negev Foundation’s goals and mission
and to expand its role in Negev
development, two dynamic projects
have been suggested:
1. Awareness-Connection
initiative between the Jewish Community of Cleveland,
Ohio and Ramat Negev communities and
2. A
Vocational-Educational enhancement program.
THE
CLEVELAND-NEGEV CONNECTION
The Cleveland-Negev
Connection (CNC) is aimed at
Israelis and Clevelanders from diverse backgrounds and
interests joined together in a program to learn trade
skills in agribusiness. Participants are sponsored by
The Negev Foundation and study high tech, sophisticated
agritechniques developed at RNDARC, the Hebrew University
and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

AGRICULTURAL
VOCATION AND TRAINING
With the
support of The Negev Foundation,
accredited courses in arid land agriculture have been
suggested for two distinct audiences: Israeli pupils
studying in vocational high schools and both veteran
and new Israeli farmers. The results of this endeavor
will reflect the viability of the establishment of the
(future) Negev Training Center for Desert Agriculture. |
