Dear Friends,
It is with overwhelming pride that the Negev Foundation celebrates its 15th year of achieving our mission of insuring Israel’s future through the development and growth of the Negev. Through our projects, partnerships, facilitation and vision which are addressed in this report, our small but mighty organization has achieved much progress and reached great success.
This success has enabled us to reach our main goal; providing the tools and resources needed in the Negev to develop the region even further. Through our work, we are able to provide these resources and knowledge to the experts who can take it to the next level. We know we are being effective when we can hand the reins over to project managers, step back and watch as progress is being made. We serve as an economic springboard, encouraging entrepreneurship through the resources we provide; resources which are made possible by our generous donors and volunteers.
The Negev Foundation is proud of earning Charity Navigator’s top ranking of four stars for the fifth consecutive year in 2009, based on operational efficiency. We are the only charity in our region that has achieved this distinction and among only four percent of all rated charities with this designation. The Negev Foundation is also the only nonprofit chosen for this distinction that is committed to economic growth in Israel.
This report addresses the impact the Negev has not only for Israel, but in Ohio, and across the world. As Israel celebrates 61 years as an independent State, The Negev Foundation is unconditionally focused on what it will take to ensure that Israel will thrive and survive as an independent and prosperous nation. Israel’s self-sufficiency will only come from being a true player in the global market. We are proud of the contributions and accomplishments we have made towards this vision, yet we still have a long way to go.
We wish to extend a heartfelt appreciation to those of you who have already made contributions to the Negev Foundation and continue to support our efforts. Please know that your dollars are going directly to the projects that will guarantee the future growth of the Negev region. If you are just learning about our foundation, we sincerely hope that you are inspired to get involved. We truly believe that it is only through continued development in the Negev that Israel will continue to thrive for the next 60 years and far beyond.
